Volunteers Needed!
Could you benefit from something exceptionally rewarding? Consider volunteering!
We are in need of Spanish, Arabic, and Kurdish speaking interpreters. Near-native fluency and knowledge of the culture are required. If you are willing to volunteer weekly to help in this role, click HERE to complete a volunteer application.
The Free Clinic provided me with the opportunity to make a positive and healthy impact on every one who walked through its doors. The patients always mentioned to me that it is the little things in life that count and having someone there to listen to their needs and concerns meant the world to them. Providing patients with community resources to help them navigate their day-to-day lives brought great joy to me.

HRFC has more than 200 volunteers who support all aspects of our organization. Many have worked with us for more than 5 years. Our volunteers feel there’s no better reward than being part of a dedicated team providing essential medical care to neighbors in need.
Volunteers range in age from 18-85 and are working professionals, homemakers, students and retired individuals.
Clinical positions include Virginia-licensed doctors, PAs, NPs, nurses, EMTs, phlebotomists, pharmacists, pharmacy techs and others.
Non-medical positions include receptionists, eligibility interviewers, interpreters (French, Kurdish, Arabic, Spanish) and administrative assistants.
To match volunteers’ skills and interests with Free Clinic jobs, potential volunteers must go through a process of application, interview and training.
Individual volunteer commitments vary, but most provide 3-12 hours per month of service. We request a minimum one-year commitment.
