General Volunteer Information
Volunteers are the foundation of Free Clinic services!
Did you know that volunteers provided nearly 15,000 hours of service at the Free Clinic in 2010?
Within 2 weeks of my retirement I was volunteering at the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Free Clinic. What a privilege it has been (12 years) to help patients and staff. My special gift has been the patients who make me feel so special. Volunteering works two ways.
- Marian Jameson, retired VP, RMH
Because poor health adversely effects one's life in so many ways, the services our patients receive can change their lives in profound ways. Every volunteer opportunity here has impact. From the person who puts new charts together to the clinician who delivers the care, every task culminates in a positive step forward in the lives of our patients.
