Position: Volunteer Referral Letter Specialist
Days: Flexible
Time: Flexible
Description: Completes and sends form referral letters to patients, physicians' offices, and hospitals. Must be familiar with medical office terms, have basic computer skills, and know how to operate a fax machine. A knowledge of written Spanish is very desirable. Flexible hours.
Position: RN/LPN Active or retired
Days: Choice of M/T/W
Time: 9-12:30 or 5:30-8PM (Weds)
Description: Assist during clinics with taking vital signs, setting up exam rooms, patient education, performing EKG's & giving respiratory treatments (will train).
Position: LPN/RN for Med refills - will train!
Days: Wednesday Evenings
Time: 5:30 - 7:30
Description: Verify prescription refill requests for accuracy and completeness. Ideal for volunteer who wants desk work and who is detail oriented.
Position: NP/PA/MD's
Days: Choice of M/T/W
Time: 9:15-Noon OR 5:30-8PM(Weds)
Description: Licensed clinicians to diagnose & treat patients with chronic illness and some acute care needs. Work w/ great volunteer support staff! Malpractice is covered. In house pharmacy. No strings attached after clinic ends.
Position: Pharmacist
Days: Choice of Tuesday or Wednesday morning, Wednesday evening
Time: 9:00-Noon, 5:30-8:30pm
Description: Assist pharmacy manager with licensed pharmacy operations particularly dispensing of medications and special projects.
Position: Front Desk
Days: Thursdays
Time: 12:00-2:00
Description: Greet patients, answer phones, make appointments, hand out prescriptions. Prefer someone with Spanish speaking abilities.
Position: Pharmacy Tech
Days: Choice of Tuesday or Wednesday morning, Wednesday evening
Time: 9:00-Noon; 5:30-8:30pm
Description: Will provide training for longterm community volunteer interested in learning to assist filling medications and helping with special projects in the pharmacy. CPhT license or training course required.
Position: Dentist
Days: Tuesday evenings, 1st & 3rd of month
Time: 5:30-7:30
Description: Licensed dentist to perform dental extractions only. No strings attached after clinic ends.
Position: Dental Assistant
Days: Tuesday evenings, 1st & 3rd of month
Time: 5:30-7:30
Description: Assistants needed to assist multiple dentists with tooth extractions only.
Position: General/Occassional Volunteers/Groups
Days: Flexible
Time: Flexible
Description: Occassional Volunteers needed for projects such as: grant writing, public relations, fundraising event assistants, Wed. evening meal makers, Scout Troops, website designer.
